Here the SDBM is mounted
in a Mastercraft Prostar 205. A Barefoot Boom from Barefoot International
is shown along with a Skylon extended pylon.
Plenty of clearance to open the engine
cover. the boom is also extended slightly to help the footer clear
some of the spray coming off of the bow!
Here you can see the SDBM from
another angle. No barefoot boom is mounted in this photo.
Here the SDBM is shown with
a V-drive (Correct Craft Super Air Nautique).
With the SDBM, there is a TON of height
adjustment available, plus you have the added benefit of being
able to flip the bracket either towards or away from the side
of the boat! Here is it shown AWAY from the side of the boat.
Here you can see a front view
of the SDBM. It can literally face any direction, 360 degrees of
freedom!

TOWARDS the side of the boat. This works nice to create more space
in the rear seat of the boat.
This is a close-up showing
the SDBM being bolted onto the factory pylon. Only the bottom
3 or 4 inches of the pylon is needed for the SDBM.
The SDBM can be bolted on at the top of
the factory pylon as well and the shaft can be pointed downward!
Great for older nautiques that have issues with the engine cover
when the boom is mounted.
Here the SDBM is on an older
Nautique. It allows the use of a Skylon, where normally the engine
cover would rub if a Skylon was fitted (note the lack of clearance
at the base).
Note that the 'ring & finger' is left
in place!

If you look close, you can
see the faint blue arrow pointing to the SDBM.
An added benefit in this install is that
it helps support the mooring cover!
Check out tachyonmotorsports.com and click
on boating products. They have an adapter that bolts onto the
stock pylon. I have one of these on my American Skier that works
great. You don't have to pull the ring on the pylon then and you
can still use you're BI extended pylon.

79, backfoot nailed it. Tachyon sells them on ebay, as well. I
can put by BI straight boom on and the extended pylon at the same
time. Its a great and very solid product.

LEAVE YOUR FACTORY PYLON INTACT!!! Clamp this pylon facing
the bow of the boat & slip a standard 2.5" Skylon
or Fly High right on it ( any 2.5" extended pylon will
slip over this mount )
Fits
all boats with 2.5" factory tow pylon!
Use the Super Deluxe Boom Mount to extend the height of the
mounting position of your barefoot boom if you have a tapered
factory pylon (i.e Mastercraft boats)!!!
Use
this bracket to allow the barefoot boom to remain mounted
with the Skylon (or other extended pylons) in place!
Locate
the bottom of your Skylon at various height positions on your
factory tow pylon.
Do
